We stumbled upon this drive-in theater last year when we took a little mini trip through Indiana. I recently discovered that it had to close. It's sad that these special little places keep disappearing.
I had not been to the drive-in ever before until last year http://www.robayre.com/news/2011/06/10/going-to-the-drive-in/ and since then we've gone a couple more times. It's fun. We've only gone to the one location but there are a couple that are within 45 minutes of us. The one we went to "Cascade Drive In" is always bustling and the snack shop is always packed so I'm hopeful they won't be closing any time soon. We'd go more often if I liked the movies that were playing. I kind of wish they'd play more classic movies, but they're usually playing just released popular films. It's working for them, so I can't blame 'em.
Mandy, i was hoping you'd say the drive-in was still active but it is sad how these kinds of treasures get left literally in the dust. i have such fond memories of stealing away to ones in our area for an evening of film fodder. they are missed much! love your pics though, the nostalgia breathes life back into those places, that's for sure. cool discoveries!! xo ♥
What fun photographs! I just checked out your shop! Love your work, very cute would love to feature it on my blog one day if you wouldnt mind? Glad to have found your blog, now following!

When were your photos taken? BTW, you have an awesome blog. I've been to Warming Glow. I must check out Clara's Pizza King. Have you been to Hagerstown? You might enjoy the water wheel inside Willy & Red. There used to be a car on the second floor of the museum. But I haven't been up there in awhile, so they may have moved it.
I'm trying to remember the last movie I watched at the drive-in. I think it may have been Jurassic Park.

Yes! They should play classic movies! I would totally love a black and white monster double feature.
