If you've ever tried to take a self-portrait, then you've probably had several outtakes. We have the tendency to scrap those shots. But you might find something a little special when you put a few together.
Or you can take fifty just waiting for the right one. :)
What do you do with your unwanted photos? Instantly delete them or find another use for them?

These are great!! I always keep mine and use them for something else if I can, they are always good for a laugh if anything :) xx
ReplyDeleteI usually just delete them but now you have me re-thinking that - these are so fun!! :)
ReplyDeletewell if they are of me generally I delete them. However others I just save.

Haha, these outtakes are the cutest! Usually I keep my awkward outtakes and save them...for what, I have no idea. But it's fun to go back through them and laugh :)
ReplyDeletetee hee, oh yes. I am all too familiar with taking 50 shots just to get one thats right. These are cute. I like to post my outtakes too. All in good fun :)
ReplyDeleteThey're so cute for being outtakes! I always delete mine, I usually have one eye open, or I just look psycho. I try not to let the public see it, haha
ReplyDeleteKizzy: Good for a laugh is right!
ReplyDeleteSarah: Start keeping a few. ;)
Katie: I'm pretty delete happy too.
Cat: Thanks! Notice there are only four, though. The other thirty were just awful.
Kyla: Thank you! It is fun.
Sweetcheeks: Agreed!
Steven: Oh, I know all about the one eye myself. Haha. :)

you are the cutest confetti thrower ever okay! love the out takes and the last shot makes me think of colorful birds flying by. super pretty! i usually ditch my fails asap but the odd time they can be composited into a collage or something else. even turning something black and white can make a big difference. ♥
ReplyDeleteGina: Thanks! it was fun!
ReplyDeleteKB: Glad you got a laugh. ;)
Lynn: Why thank you! And yes, sometimes they work perfectly in black and white.
These are adorable. I'm just now starting to experiment with self portraits, any suggestions. Its nice to know I'm not the only one who has to take a ton of shots to get the right one
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteSome tips:
1. Know your best side.
2. Stand near a window for the best natural light.
3. Try different angles or poses.
4. Start with an idea in mind. You may not get it exactly, but you might like what happens along the way.
5. Use a remote or self-timer.
